A costume swap is recycling at its most fun. Kids get new-to-them costumes, and parents get to save money and the planet. This is an afternoon full of Costume Swapping, Activities for the Kids, Free Fall Photos, Door Prizes, Shopping and More!
Halloween comes just once a year. As a result Halloween costumes, well, they get worn one time … maybe twice if there’s a younger sibling willing to wear it another year. Chances are, your costumes are still in good enough shape to be passed along to another child. From that simple idea, every kid’s favorite holiday just got more parent- and planet-friendly, thanks to National Costume Swap Day!
Here is how it works! Grab your Clean, Gently used Halloween Costumes bring them to one of our drop off locations (see below). In exchange for costume(s) you will be given a Swap Ticket to be brought back to the event on October 4th from 9am - 12pm at the Coon Rapids Ice Center. Ticket Holders will have the opportunity to find a costume starting from 9am until 10:30am. After 10:30am , non-ticket holders are welcome to shop for a costume for a small fee of $5 (with proceeds going to the Blaine High School Competition Cheer Team).
RSVP on the FB event page HERE and be entered to win a family 4-pack of tickets to Disney on Ice coming in December, when you check in at the event! Drawings will be done at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 at the event. Must be present to win.
Drop Offs will be accepted from now through - October 2nd at our official drop off locations (if you can't drop off at these locations during this time, please contact MichelleE@MacaroniKid.com to schedule a special drop-off in Coon Rapids):
